Beauduc and Piémanson, the change of scenery guaranteed !
Beautiful sandy beach of nearly six kilometers, located west of the mouth of the Grand Rhône. It is accessed by Salin de Giraud, parking is allowed from 6am to 10pm and only on a part of the beach located in a delimited area and called regulation area. It is an infinite beach, with dunes bristling with rare plants. There is nothing, no hotel, no restaurant or grocery store within ten kilometers of the village of Salin de Giraud. Just a fire station that keeps bathers safe. It’s a beach known for sea kayaking.
On the left after one kilometer the beach becomes naturist up to the mouth of the Rhône. With 5 km in length, it is the largest naturist beach in France.
To get there, the path is bumpy :
From Arles take the D36 towards Salin de Giraud. A few kilometers from the village, turn right towards "La Bélugue" then continue straight until the start of a dirt track of about ten kilometers to finally arrive at Beauduc. It is the end of the world, a beach of seven kilometers of fine sand, a place that is timeless and forgotten by geographical maps.
Beauduc is a natural site located in the south-east of the Camargue, straddling the municipalities of Arles and Saintes-Marie-de-la-Mer. It mostly belongs to the Conservatoire du Littoral, the coastal strip coming under the public maritime domain administered by the state.
These beaches have become one of the most beautiful kitesurfing spots in the south of France. It is the ideal place to learn kitesurfing. On site three schools offer courses and internships:
