The grandes tables in Arles : la chassagnette, Jean-Luc Rabanel et leurs cours de cuisine

Learn how to cook from a chef

Some chefs offer cooking lessons and workshops

Cooking lessons to discover and learn hand-on at Jean-Luc Rabanel's 'L'Atelier'

Cooking lessons with the Chef and his team. An interactive program designed at the beginning of each lesson depending on the participants (their level and tastes, what they fancy and their expectations of the course), the season and the moment (products available, the chef's inspiration, current trends).

Courses takes place in the Atelier's kitchens…offering a glimpse of this philosophical creative universe and of the Chef's daily work.

The principle: arrival at 8:30 at the same time as the rest of the team. Briefing and allocation of positions. Participation in making and creating the Atelier recipes. 12:30 everyone comes together around JLR's Guest Table to taste the dishes prepared in combination with selected wines presented by the Atelier's sommelier.

Cooking lessons with Armand Arnal at Chassagnette

Chassagnette offers cooking course for all, with a choice of different options.

For the individual option, on Monday and Friday mornings, the chef Armand Arnal receives a group of up to 8 people.

At 9 am participants are taken round the Chassagnette's organic vegetable garden, to meet the gardeners and to gather vegetables and herbs which will be used to prepare the dishes on the menu. A basket under their arm, they return to the kitchen where Armand Arnal guides each of his pupils in the preparation of various vegetable-based dishes. Using basic advice and professional " tricks" , the chef will teach you how to master vegetables in all their forms: raw, cooked, marinated, in soups, as an infusion, etc. When the preparation is over, it is time to sit down at the table together for an extraordinary meal where everyone is both guest and cook.

The same option is available for companies, that can also choose a shorter 1hr 30 min. version, for example, to organize a work meeting in one of the private rooms or in the Chassagnette library.

Another original formula: the four-hand cooking lesson. For one evening you become the chef of Chassagnette. Armand Arnal will give you a one-to-one lesson to prepare a dinner for your guests, who will undoubtedly never forget the evening, just like you…
