David Pinzòn, freeze frame... Or rather the image in sequence, because what interests David Pinzón, it is the birth of life through the image, the decomposition of the movement, the technical richness of the picture. If he chose the profession of the image, chemistry attempted it in the same way as those people that he admires such Edward Muybridge or Jules Marey, who put the image in the service of science and made them rise an art in its own right. Panoramic photo also excites him and his side kinematics, it develops itself new techniques of shots so that our vision grow. The video and sound allow also to explore new spaces and link image and movement. David Pinzón was the photographer of the president of the Republic in Colombia at the age of 26, made the covers of major fashion magazines and of architecture in Colombia, but it is the fact of having won the first prize at the Columbian Exchange organized by the HDFS collective who made him cross the border. We have not lost to the Exchange, had not the possibility to realize his dreams in his country, he has not come here empty head, its images cannot leave us indifferent.

Galerie Huit is located in a late 17th century private mansion in the historic centre of Arles. The photos, paintings, sculptures and other 'objects of desire' are showcased in the particularly charming salons of this unusual exhibition space. Created in 2007 by the gallery-owner, writer and curator/interior designer Julia de Bierre, the gallery has now acquired a solid reputation for its careful selection of artists, whether famous or up-and-coming, and for the quality and originality of its displays and installations. The dimensions of the residence offer rich and varied exhibition spaces, such as the small, intimate 18th century salon with its painted woodwork, the spacious reception room with its high ceilings and period 'terrazzo' floor, the immaculate former cellar all in white, which has a more contemporary feel and the inner courtyard, which is ideal for film screenings.

This place, open and friendly, in addition to the space dedicated to work, you will find a sitting area where drink a tea or coffee or simply discuss. There is also what hang many paintings on the walls, and an upcoming exhibition or the next opening of an artist painter or artist cannot delay. I expected you for an internship or a simple visit to discover my paintings.

This abstract painter's only imagination is the one other people give him. His world is matter; he does not imagine; he makes others imagine. Whether you look at the abstract with no memory of reality, or whether the imagined figuration of the abstract allows you to push open the doors to abstraction, painting is emotion before it even reaches the spirit. Let yourself be moved, or wait until you become receptive to it. Abstraction is never far from reality. The figurative tends towards abstraction. Enemies live in a world where the borders are inexpressible and where sectarianism rhymes with ignorance. Studio visits by appointment (possibly same day)
